Mikel Arteta’s work at Arsenal has impressed Arsene Wenger, who believes the club is heading in the right direction under the Spaniard’s leadership.
Despite a shaky start to the season, the Gunners have been in excellent form.
They are now the front-runners for the final Champions League spot in the table.
Despite losing some key players and failing to replace them, Arteta has led his team to victory after victory in the final weeks of the Premier League season.
The Gunners are now one of the division’s most dangerous teams, and Wenger believes they are in a fantastic position.
“We still have a long way to go because we were dominating in England for a long time,” he said on BeIN Sports via Sun Sports.
“All of the elements are in place. For the first time since the stadium was built, the club has made a significant financial investment.
“The team’s results are now consistent. His leadership appears to be well-liked by the players, and there appears to be a bond between him and the group. So far, what you see from the outside appears to be positive.”
Wenger was one of the best managers in our history, and his team was the last to win the Premier League.
They are also the only English club to have gone an entire league season without losing.
