Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team led by Hardik Pandya reached Tauranga on Saturday morning for the second T20I. The weather forecast in Tauranga is not encouraging as there are chances of showers on Sunday. The first T20I at Wellington is already washed out and there is a possibility the second T20I too can get abandoned because of showers.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its official Twitter handle posted a few photos of the Indian players after they landed in Tauranga. Captain Hardik Pandya was talking to Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Siraj, and Shubman Gill. In another post, Coach VVS Laxman, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Sanju Samson were all smiles.

The last time the Indian team played at the venue was in 2020 when Jasprit Bumrah rattled the BlackCaps batting with 3/12 as the visitors won the T20I series.

With the first T20I producing no result, both teams will be looking to take the lead in the three-match series. But everything will depend on the weather gods as the forecast is for 90 percent showers on Sunday.
