There’s a lot of college football to watch before kickoff time in Columbus.
Big Ten Games are not included below as they are covered in Thursday’s conference preview.
Texas at (#16)Baylor
Noon, ABC
The Longhorns have one of the nation’s most exciting offenses, but a leaky defense that tends to come apart at just the wrong time. Baylor hasn’t been quite as flashy, but keep finding ways to win. Go with the steady team at home.
Prediction: Baylor-40, Texas-36
Miami at (#17)Pitt
Noon, ACCN
The ‘Canes come in at 3-4 despite all the preseason hype, but seem to have found something on offense the past few weeks to give them a fighting chance moving forward. This could come at a dangerous time as Pitt is coming off an emotional win against Clemson. It seems like every time Pitt has seemingly made some progress, they do something to shoot themselves in the foot. This seems like one of those games.
Prediction: Miami-27, Pitt-24
(#1)Georgia at Florida
3:30 p.m., CBS
Florida is just another team from the Sunshine State who failed to meet expectations coming into the season. At least there will be no pressure as they can throw everything they have at the Bulldogs with hopes that the extra week of preparation can crack the seemingly impenetrable Georgia defense. It may be enough to keep things interesting for a while, but not to get past this historically stingy Bulldogs defense.

(#10)Ole Miss at (#18)Auburn
7 p.m., ESPN
This looks to be the most purely entertaining game of the day as Bo Nix looks to match points with the nation’s most lethal offense. This will be a back-and-forth, highlight reel games with a backyard football feel. And because it’s these two teams, expect the unexpected every step of the way.
Prediction: Ole Miss-38, Auburn-30
Virginia at (#25)BYU
10:15 p.m., ESPN2
Virginia comes in red-hot on a four-game winning streak, averaging 40 points per game. BYU is looking to stay afloat after a two game skid, followed by a tight victory at Washington State. You may want to pour an extra cup of coffee to get through this one, as this will go well past midnight with two highly-productive offenses going at it.
Prediction: BYU-39, Virginia-35
Fresno State at (#21)San Diego State
10:30 p.m., CBSSN
End the day with a Mountain West clash. Undefeated San Diego State takes on a very tough Fresno State squad, who is a couple narrow losses at Oregon and Hawai’i from being unbeaten themselves. The Azteks find ways to win, but have needed to get a few bounces to remain unbeaten, including a triple-OT victory against Utah and a win in two OTs at San Jose State.
Prediction: San Diego State-35, Fresno State-31
