The Florida softball team earned the rubber-match win over the LSU Tigers, 6-5 (8 innings), in walk-off fashion Monday evening at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium to win the three-game home series.
It was the second consecutive extra-inning affair for the Gators while becoming the first walk-off of the year for the program. Trailing 5-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Orange and Blue rallied to force the extra frame before finishing off the visitors with its sixth unanswered run.
Florida is now 34-6 overall and 9-3 in SEC play while LSU fell to an identical 34-6 overall and 9-3 SEC mark.
