As fall camp begins the Penn State recruiting train chugs along
TOP 100 WIDE RECEIVER’S FINAL SIX
Monday evening top 100 wide receiver Andre Greene released his group of final six schools. This comes on the heels of Greene taking a recent unofficial visit to Happy Valley.

To no surprise Greene’s final six includes some of the biggest, heaviest hitters in the country. The Nittany Lions are facing some of the stiffest competition for Greene with Clemson, Georgia and LSU being in his final six.
Right now it appears that Clemson could be the team to beat for Greene. The Virginia native is high on the Tigers, but he is also high on the Nittany Lions. Greene long had interest in visiting campus, and, as was mentioned above, that finally happened this summer. If Penn State could get him back on campus this fall for an official visit they should remain in the discussion for Greene until the end of his recruitment.
NEW OFFERS
James Franklin and his staff were busy in the past week handing out new offers in the 2023 class. One of these offers went out to Texas wide receiver Johntay Cook.

Cook already holds offers from many of the country’s who’s who. In addition to the Nittany Lions, Cook also holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, among others. This offer was likely one to attempt to gauge the interest of Cook and to attempt to get him to campus for a visit at some point.
The Nittany Lions also extended an offer to safety Kaleb Spencer.

Spencer attends Life Christian Academy in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Being an in region prospect Spencer could be one for fans to keep an eye on as this cycle unfolds. However, one factor for Spencer could be his school.
As some of you may remember the Nittany Lions had a pair of 2020 commits from Life Christian Academy in offensive lineman Aaryn Parks and cornerback Joshua Moten. Both players de-committed from the Nittany Lions and signed elsewhere, however, and at the time there appeared to be some friction between the LCA staff and Penn State’s staff. This could be a storyline in Spencer’s recruitment as well.
