The fireworks started early for Ohio State football on Saturday afternoon, as they received a commitment prior to the annual Scarlet and Gray game began.
Oklahoma 2025 tight end Nate Roberts, who was once committed to Notre Dame, reopened the process last August, but decided to take his time to rethink his decision. Well, it ultimately went the Buckeyes way as the 6-foot, 4-inch and 235-pound prospect committed to Ohio State.
Roberts is viewed as one of the best players in the country, ranking as the No. 118 overall prospect and 5th tight end according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. After multiple visits, Columbus will now be his home for the next few years.

Ohio State now sits at 12 total commitments in its 2025 recruiting class, with Roberts being the first tight end of the group.
