Early line for Ohio State vs. Penn State released

It’s been circled on the calendar ever since before the start of the season and that outline has only gotten bolder since the start of the fall. Ohio State vs. Penn State is sure to be one of the biggest college football games of the year and it’s finally kicking off Saturday at Noon.

With the performance of each team so fart this season, it’s interesting to see what the oddsmakers say about the game, and we now have the early line on the game out. It’s important to note that the game is in Columbus so that obviously has an impact on where the early line is set, and upon first release, BetMGM has Ohio State favored by -3.5 points.

It’s still early in the week, and these initial lines are set to try and motivate folks to put money on the game, so it’ll be interesting to see which way things move as the week goes on. We’ll keep an eye on it this week and provide updates as it makes sense, but do with this information as you wish early on.

Meanwhile, as a reminder, the game between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions is massive. The winner keeps pace with Michigan, while the loser will have zero margin for error and will have to root for the loser of this game against the Wolverines later in the year when it takes part in what’s shaping up as a three team round robin in the Big Ten and College Football Playoff race.
