Women’s Soccer
An outstanding season for the women’s soccer team ended last Saturday with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Clemson. After a scoreless first half, the Tigers opened the scoring in the 70th minute on a goal from Makenna Morris. Kaitlyn MacBean answered for Penn State just two minutes later to tie the game. With just six minutes left in regulation, Clemson’s Caroline Conti found a crack in the Lions’ defense and scored the game-winning goal. It was a tough loss for Penn State but a hard-fought match between two of the best teams in the country.
