Fan favorite Kamryn Babb lands job with Ohio State Athletic Department

||

Kamryn Babb is returning to Ohio State, but it won’t be on the football field. Instead, it was announced earlier today that the former Buckeye receiver has accepted a job with the Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute.

Babb was a highly touted recruit coming to OSU but unfortunately dealt with injury after injury that kept him from realizing his full potential. Even with multiple ACL tears, Babb stayed positive. He was such an inspiration to his teammates that he was named a captain in his final two years as a Buckeye. Babb also gave Ohio State fans one of the season’s most memorable moments when he caught his first catch as a Buckeye for a touchdown against Indiana.

Now Babb will trade his pads and cleats for a suit and tie as a program coordinator helping provide leadership training and career development opportunities for OSU athletes. According to Ohio State’s website, the Smith Leadership Institute “provides leadership, character and career development for all Ohio State student-athletes in order to best prepare them for life after graduation.”

Babb earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and then went on to receive a master’s degree in kinesiology just this past December. It is clear to see that this young man is well-equipped for the job and will have the opportunity to help young athletes, using his own experiences, to help them prepare for life after sports.
