Florida getting 4-star 2024 TE on campus in late January

||

The Florida Gators are loading up the calendar with recruiting visits for when the dead period lifts, and four-star Carrollton (Georgia) tight end Caleb Odom is one of many prep players visiting the Swamp later this month.

“I’ll be up the 21st of this month (January),” Odom said to Gators Online. “I feel like the relationship with Florida is great. I’m always talking with the coaches, especially coach (William) Peagler, the tight ends coach. He’s talked to my mom, so the relationship is great and still developing.”

Odom’s relationship with Florida is still clearly growing, but he should expect the Gators to press hard after a strong junior year at the prep level. Odom was a standout player this season in the Georgia state playoffs and could see his draft stock rise considerably over the next few months.

Odom is ranked No. 230 overall on the On3 consensus and at No. 14 among tight ends in the class of 2024, but the site’s individual rankings are far more bullish on him at No. 112 overall and No. 6 at his position.

The recruiting prediction machine has Georgia Tech (22.2%), Vanderbilt (19.4%), Ole Miss (16.7%) and Louisville (13.9%) as the top four programs in the race right now, but a visit to Florida should change that.
