With the hype of the early signing period winding down, we move back to the portal hype train (the gift that keeps giving — and taking away). There are few things in sports more intriguing than the transfer portal and another former Ohio State Buckeye has made a decision on his next destination.
L’Christian “Blue” Smith is a former four-star recruit from Wayne High School in Dayton, Ohio in the class of 2018. Smith didn’t stay in Columbus, Ohio long as he saw the writing on the wall as far as playing time is concerned and opted to hit the portal after his freshman season.
After narrowing down his decision in 2019 to either Cincinnati or Kentucky, Smith elected on becoming a Bearcat and had a fairly uneventful career at Cincinnati and snagged only five receptions for 62 yards this past season and has elected to enter the transfer portal once again. We wish Smith luck at his next school.
