Gators lose commitment from 4-star interior offensive lineman

||

Florida 2025 recruiting class just shrunk by 20% with the decommitment of Houston County (Warner Robins, Georgia) interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph on Thursday.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett first reported the news with Joseph confirming things shortly after.

Joseph’s commitment to Florida came on February 18, and he’s climbed the rankings since. He was most recently in Gainesville for the Orange and Blue Game on April 13 and said that he was still solidly committed to Florida. Five days later he’s a free agent.

Florida State is the assumed landing spot for Joseph given the frequency in which he’s visited Tallahassee. He also has a cousin, TJ Ferguson, who plays for the Seminoles.

“He’s (Ferguson) been telling me it’s home,” he said after one of those tripe. “He’s been trying to get me to flip. We talk each and every day just about everything. He’s saying the feeling to him, it feels like home.”

Florida still has four players from the class of 2025 under verbal commitment — dour-star defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins, four-star running back Waltez Clark, three-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah and three-star offensive tackle Enoch Wangoy.
