Jake Diebler adds another piece to his Ohio State coaching staff

||

Jake Diebler has added yet another piece to his coaching staff. Diebler announced the hiring of assistant coach Luke Simons as the newest member of his team.

Simons joins the program with eight years of collegiate coaching experience and another seven years of international coaching experience. Diebler and Simons both worked together with Bryce Drew at Vanderbilt from 2016 to 2019. Before that, both worked together at Valparaiso during the 2015-16 season.

Simons has also served as the Director of Operations for Team USA for three World University Games which saw the United States take home two golds and a silver medal.

Diebler had this to say about his newest hire.

“I’m excited to welcome Luke as he’s going to be a great addition to our staff,” Diebler said. “He has the ability to connect with players at every level and his versatility is really important. He’s been on staff at the collegiate level, and he has international coaching experience as well. Those experiences are going to be valuable for our program as we move forward.”

Diebler now has just one spot to fill on his coaching staff for the upcoming season.
