Ryan Pickett starred at Ohio State in the late 90s through 2000. He was a force to be reconned with on the Buckeye defensive line and a first-round NFL draft selection by the St. Louis Rams. He played 14 seasons in the league with the Rams, Packers, and Texans, winning a Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2011.
The nephew of the former Ohio State star, Booker Pickett, put the Buckeyes in his top nine schools this past February, but things have been somewhat quiet since. He did take an official visit to OSU in June but no real buzz one way or another after his visit to Columbus.
Some bait was recently put in the water when Pickett was tagged in a Twitter post to see if the Bucks were “still in the running” for his services. Pickett saw the tweet and responded positively with a #GoBuckeyes.

That’s certainly a positive response that will have Buckeye fans smiling. Currently, Pickett is the No. 13 edge rusher in the 2024 class on the 247Sports composite rankings.
Other schools being considered are Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Miami (Florida), Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and USC.
