The game will be a primetime Big Ten matchup and can be seen on the Big Ten Network. The Buckeyes are 10-0 and are getting ready to take on a relatively underwhelming Minnesota squad that sits at just 5-5.

Ohio State is coming off a win over the Michigan State Spartans, 38-3. Meanwhile, the Gophers are coming off really disappointing blowout loss to the Purdue Boilermakers, 49-30.

The Buckeyes are tied with the Michigan Wolverines at the top of the Big Ten East. Both are undefeated. Meanwhile, Minnesota has a 3-4 conference record and has been eliminated from coming anywhere near Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship game. Regarding injuries, both programs have suffered some bumps and bruises. The Gophers have been dealing with cluster injuries in their linebacker corps with two rotational pieces likely out against the Buckeyes in Cody Lindenberg and Maverick Baranowksi. Meanwhile, Ohio State was dealt some bad news concerning Lathan Ransom likely being out for the remainder of the season.

Advice and Prediction

The Buckeyes appear to be on a roll against the spread as they have beaten their opponents and the spread the last two weeks and Minnesota both lost outright and against the spread the last couple of contests. My biggest concern with a spread this large is with Michigan on deck, Ohio State should be looking to get up and get out, which should mean we see very little of Marvin Harrison Jr. and TreVeyon Henderson, thus leaving the possibility of a Gophers back door. Despite those factors, I’m laying the points.
