The game starts at noon and can be seen exclusively on Peacock, which will be the first game of Ohio State’s that will be streamed instead of being offered on cable television. The Buckeyes are currently undefeated at 5-0 and Purdue is sitting at 2-4 with a rookie head coach. 

OSU is coming off an impressive victory over the Maryland Terrapins, 37-17, but Purdue is coming off a poor performance against the Iowa Hawkeyes, 20-14. While the Buckeyes fight for the top spot in the Big Ten East, the Boilermakers are fighting to stay out of the basement of the Big Ten West.

Point spread: Ohio State -19.5 Purdue

Over-under: 50.5 

Injuries will be something to monitor for both teams. Purdue’s starting quarterback, Hudson Card, has been playing through a nagging injury and was the victim of six sacks last week.

For the Buckeyes, the big concern is the mysterious TreVeyon Henderson situation, which resulted in him sitting out the Maryland contest entirely. Marvin Harrison Jr. has also been bumped and bruised over the last few weeks.

Advice and prediction

At first glance, this spread is the exact same that we saw last week for Ohio State and the Terrapins, and it should be very obvious that the Boilermakers are not nearly as talented as Maryland. This leads me to lean towards taking the Buckeyes as the heavy favorite.

A fun tidbit in regard to the total, is that Ohio State is currently 1-4 to the over while Purdue is 3-3, but this week feels like a good time for the Buckeyes offense to roll and hit that over.

BEST BET: Ohio State -19.5

Prediction: Ohio State 42-14
