In case you haven’t noticed, the Ohio State women’s team is pretty good. Ranked No. 2 in the country only behind undefeated South Carolina. On Sunday, the Buckeyes got another quality win over Big Ten foe Maryland by a score of 79-66.
OSU guard, Celeste Taylor, quietly put together a nice week on the court and was named the ESPN Player of the Week in women’s college basketball. Taylor scored 16 in a win over Penn State on Thursday and poured in 20 against the Terrapins on Sunday. Over the course of the two games, she shot 50 percent from the field, had nine assists, seven rebounds, and 10 steals, while only turning the ball over five times.
The Duke Blue Devil transfer has done an outstanding job of filling the void left by Taylor Mikesell who graduated last year.

Sitting at 24-3 on the season, Kevin McGuff’s team has already clinched at least a share of the Big Ten title and is primed to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. This is a fun team to watch and they have the pieces in place to make a deep run into March.
