It has been a rough go for Ohio State on the recruiting trail the last few days. First, it was former Notre Dame signee Brandyn Hillman, who picked Michigan after a visit, not giving the Buckeyes a chance.
Now in-state running back Jordan Marshall will join Hillman playing for Ohio State’s rivals. This one hurts a bit more, as Marshall’s father is a Buckeye fan and the ball carrier was viewed as a priority prospect for Ryan Day.
The good news is that Ohio State has a lot of depth at running back but after not signing one during the 2023 cycle, it is a big need to sign at least two in the 2024 class.
First of all, I just want to thank my mom and dad, family, friends, and the Moeller Community For supporting me. With that being said…I Will be Committing to the University of Michigan

The Buckeyes will now turn their focus to other running back targets like James Peoples, Stacy Gage and Sam Williams-Dixon. It remains to be seen if Ohio State will continue to recruit Marshall despite his verbal commitment.
