The Ohio State football team kept its impressive ways going against Michigan State, this time putting a whopping 49 points on the board before halftime. Not only that, but the defense played arguably its best game of the year, holding a very good Michigan State offense to just seven points in a 56-7 whitewashing.
The voters in the latest USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll also agree, moving OSU up a spot to No. 3, finally deciding to move the Buckeyes up above an undefeated Cincinnati Bearcat squad. We’re still not sure why Alabama is ahead of Ohio State based on resume and everything else, but that’s an old story greater than time itself it seems.
Still in front of OSU are Georgia (1), and Alabama. (2). Behind OSU and rounding out the top ten are Cincinnati (4), Notre Dame (5), Michigan (6). Oklahoma State (7), Ole Miss (8), Oklahoma (9), and Baylor (10).
