The transfer portal has been a whirlwind to monitor with all of the names coming and going and we have had some good news recently with the announcement of the arrival of former Syracuse safety, Ja’Had Carter, but now comes an announcement for a departure with freshman, Blaize Exline looking for a new home.
Exline was a true freshman walk-on and faced an uphill battle to see any playing time in his career here in Columbus. Exline had an eye-popping high school career notching an insane 237 receptions for 2,769 yards and 37 touchdowns during his junior and senior seasons combined.
Exline has shattered ten records from his high school Salem, which is in Ohio and received offers from schools like Dayton before walking on to Ohio State, but after not seeing any action this season, Exline has likely seen the writing on the wall and will be searching for greener pastures. We wish him good luck!
Ohio State CB Lloyd McFarquhar and WR Blaize Exline have entered the transfer portal. Both are walk-ons. Exline didn't play this past season. McFarquhar, who entered the portal last year as well, saw action only in the Rutgers game this season.
