Ohio State trending to add elite 2024 Arizona defensive back

||

Once again, it seems like we are a reporting broken record with Ohio State secondary recruiting. It’s because after this past season, the need to continually add depth to the position to combat injuries and transfers reared its ugly head.

Not only did the corners struggle to stay on the field, when they did their play was so-so at best, as the collective group didn’t record an interception all season. Buckeye cornerback coach Tim Walton needs his position room to excel and a good amount of that starts with players that he and head coach Ryan Day can recruit to campus.

Enter Arizona cornerback Miles Lockhart, the 5-foot, 10-inch, and 185-pound player who is rated as the 37th best athlete and No. 298 overall player by the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Lockhart was offered a scholarship last summer and will visit on the weekend of June 16th.

Put all of that information together and two of 247Sports recruiting experts, Blair Angulo and Bill Kurelic, put in their crystal ball picks for Lockhart to end up committing to Ohio State.

It’s not a coincidence that Lockhart is wearing an Ohio State headband while hoisting his state championship trophy.

If everything plays out the way the experts think it will, expect Lockhart to end up in the 2024 Buckeye recruiting class.
