The Ohio State Women’s basketball team has a good one coming in next year. Point guard, Ava Watson has been named the CBCA/GACA 7A North Player of the Year.
Watson is ranked as the No. 51 player according in the country to ESPN recruiting rankings and hails from Buford, Georgia. Although on the smaller side at 5′ 8″, Watson can put the ball in the basket. She averaged 24 points per game in her junior high school season while adding 6 rebounds per game, 5.2 assists, and 4.3 steals.
Watson picked the Buckeyes over Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, and Texas A&M.

With Jacy Sheldon graduating, Watson will compete for playing time at the position along with the No. 3 player in the nation and five-star recruit, point guard Jaloni Cambridge.
