According to a statement from Ohio State, wrestling coach Tom Ryan suffered non-life threatening injuries in a car crash Tuesday morning during his commute campus. He was taken to the Wexner Medical Center for treatment.

“Ohio State University wrestling coach Tom Ryan was involved in an automobile accident Tuesday morning on his commute to campus,” said the statement. “He was transported to the Wexner Medical Center. His injuries are non-life threatening, and no one else was hurt at the scene. University and department of athletics staff members have Tom and his family in their thoughts.”

Ryan has been the OSU wrestling coach for 18 seasons now. Though it’s been a few years since the program has been at the top, it continues to be one of the best in the country. Ryan has guided the Ohio State wrestling program to three Big Ten titles and a national championship back in 2015.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on any further news that is released regarding Ryan and how he is recovering.
