As the season nears, there’s less than a week left before Penn State kicks off!

With no current No. 10 on the roster, we dig into the well of former players for a suitable replacement. And thus, we end with former wide receiver/cornerback Trevor Williams.

Williams played his first season as a Nittany Lion at receiver, catching 10 passes for 97 yards, with a long of 27. He also returned four kickoffs for 79 yards, with a long of 23.

Williams switched positions in 2013, racking up 81 tackles in his career (59 solo), with a forced fumble and five interceptions to boot. Williams would go on to earn an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by the media in his last two seasons with the team.

In the NFL, Williams spent the first three season of his pro career with the San Diego Los Angeles Chargers, then going to the Arizona Cardinals for a season in 2019. In 2020, Williams spent time with both the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars. He last spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this year in their practice squad.

Overall, Williams has 113 tackles, a forced fumble, 23 pass deflections, and 3 interceptions in his NFL career.
