The Nittany Lions drop three spots following their loss in the Peach Bowl.

Penn State will finish the 2023 season ranked at #13 in the final AP poll, following the conclusion of the season on Monday night. The Nittany Lions fell three spots after losing to Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl, 38-25 on Dec. 30.

Michigan finished at the top of the poll following its impressive 34-13 victory over Washington for its first national championship since 1997. Washington, Texas, Georgia and Alabama rounded out the top five.

Ohio State and Iowa were the only other current Big Ten squads to finish in the rankings. The Buckeyes fell three spots to finish at #10 following a 14-3 loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Iowa dropped four spots to #24 after being shut out 35-0 in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Big Ten newcomer Oregon finished at #6, while USC and UCLA received votes but finished outside of the top 25 in their final year before entering the Big Ten.

Penn State began the season at #7 in both the AP and Coaches Polls.
