
It’s time for your weekly recap of Nittany Lion commits in action
The magical senior season of Drew Allar continued on Friday as the future Nittany Lion signal caller continues to make a big push for a five-star rating. Allar led the Medina (OH) Bees to a 35-14 victory over Mentor and a 7-0 record. This victory for the Bees came in a game that was televised nationally on ESPN2.
In the victory Allar threw for 308 yards 4 touchdowns and an interception. Allar also continued to impress as an athlete by rushing for a touchdown.

Allar also caught the attention of a guy who knows a thing or two about playing quarterback in the victory.

Clay and I talked about this while tailgating this past Saturday, but, when you look at what Mike Yurcich has done with Sean Clifford... just imagine what he will do with Allar.
Despite Lake Nona (FL) suffering a 29-23 loss to cal to 3-3 on the season, defensive tackle Zane Durant continued his big senior season. Durant recorded 8 tackles to go with 2.0 tackles for a loss, 5 quarterback hurries and a sack in the loss.
Durant now has 41 tackles, 9 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 15 TFLs and an incredible 23 quarterback hurries this season. The four-star recruit recently received a small ratings bump, but if he continues to play the way he has he could be in store for a bigger bump.
Quarterback Beau Pribula and the Central York Panthers improved to 6-0 on the season by blowing out South Western 60-0. Pribula was 13/17 for 308 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception in the victory. He also rushed for 12 yards and a score.
In one of the premiere matchups in Pennsylvania this past weekend linebacker Abdul Carter and La Salle College defeated St. Joe’s Prep 28-21. In the victory Carter recorded 16 tackles for the Explorers.
Wide receiver commit Anthony Ivey had a rare quiet night in a 42-7 victory for Manheim Township. Ivey had just 1 receptions for 3 yards. Playing quarterback, the newest Nittany Lion commit, and future wide receiver, Omari Evans completed 9 of 11 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown in a 58-35 victory for the Shoemaker (TX) Wolves. Evans also rushed for 251 yards and 4 scores.
Defensive back commit Jordan Allen held opposing receivers to just 1 reception for 10 yards. This effort, however, came in a 38-17 loss that knocked Lafayette Christian Academy (LA) to 4-1 on the season.

2023 cornerback commit Lamont Payne and Chartiers Valley improved to 4-2 on the season with a 28-13 victory over Blackhawk. Payne was a terror for the Blackhawk victory hauling in 7 receptions for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had a tackle for the Mustang defense.
On the JUCO circuit safety Tyrece Mills and offensive lineman JB Nelson helped lead the Lackawanna Falcons to a 3-1 record with a 53-13 victory over MTI. In the win Mills recorded 4 tackles while Nelson’s blocking helped paved the way for 211 Falcon rushing yards.
