The former five-star recruit out of PA is coming home.

The streak of Penn State bringing former five-star Pennsylvania recruits who went elsewhere continues, as offensive tackle Nolan Rucci just announced on social media that he will be portaling to Happy Valley to play out the remainder of his college career.

The #WeAre home means more for Nolan than just coming back to play for the big home state school, as his dad Todd was a former Nittany Lion offensive lineman himself, who went on to play several years in the NFL with the New England Patriots.

Nolan’s time in Wisconsin did not go as anticipated, as he only appeared in six games total during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, albeit he did catch a game-winning touchdown in the final seconds to beat Illinois last year. With two years of eligibility remaining, he will seek to establish himself as part of the two-deep on the depth chart and perhaps see more action in a blue and white uniform. At 6’8” and over 300 pounds, he certainly has the size to be a key contributor.

With this latest portal addition, along with the addition of Julian Fleming last week, Penn State’s roster will now feature each of the top-rated high school players in Pennsylvania from 2020-2024 (Fleming, Rucci, Nicholas Singleton, J’Ven Williams, and Quinton Martin).

Welcome to Penn State, Nolan!
