Penn State plays its penultimate non-conference game
Following Saturday’s heartbreaking loss to Georgia Tech, Penn State returns home to the Bryce Jordan Center to take on the Dolphins of Le Moyne College.

Opponent Preview
The Dolphins come into tonight’s game at 5-7, with only three of their wins coming against D1 competition. Luke Sutherland leads the team in points with 16 per game, along with Kaiyem Cleary (13.1) and Ocypher Owens (10.3).
Le Moyne has struggled statistically all season, but much like Penn State, they thrive on turnover margin. The Dolphins have forced turnovers on 21% of opponents’ possessions while committing turnovers on just 15% of their own possessions.
What to Watch For
Rebounding- Le Moyne is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country. Penn State’s rebounding has been a major weakness, but if the Lions cannot crash the glass tonight, it will be a bad omen for conference play.
Defense- Le Moyne is #354 in field goal percentage. PSU should be able to shut down the Dolphins’ attack.
Energy- With the students gone for winter break, playing a weak opponent, and the game on a Thursday, the crowd will not be as strong as it was for Ohio State. Will the Lions be able to get up for this game?
Prediction
I’m not going to overthink this one. Penn State has struggled, but not nearly as much as Le Moyne has this season, and the Nittany Lions have more talent. With conference play right around the corner, this has to be a “get it right” game.
