Florida baseball lost its sixth game of the young 2024 campaign on Tuesday night at home in Condron Family Ballpark to the Florida State Seminoles, 12-8. Once again, pitching was the Gators’ Achilles heel as the team coughed up a dozen runs en route to defeat.
Alex Philpott got the start for Florida, giving up three total runs (one earned ) before turning things over to the bullpen. From there, things spiraled out of control and the offense simply was unable to keep up. Cade Kurland tried his best, however, slugging a grand slam in the fourth frame while Ty Evans also hit a jack of the two-run variety.
