Florida basketball begins its 2024 Southeastern Conference schedule with a pair of losses after the Ole Miss Rebels routed them in Oxford, 103-85, to send the Gators to a 10-5 record overall. Todd Golden’s team got out to a quick start, but the Rebs countered quickly and ended up running the Orange and Blue out of the building.
It was an embarrassing performance overall and Florida will have to go back to the drawing board before facing their next opponent this weekend. Walter Clayton paced the Gators with 23 points, along with five rebounds and an assist, but it was an overall letdown from Golden’s gang.
