Florida basketball suffered its third Southeastern Conference loss in four tries on Tuesday night in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers, falling in a game that started two hours early, XX-YY.
The Gators were clearly outmatched by the Vols, struggling to make baskets early against Rick Barnes’ vaunted defense while unable to stop the home team in the other direction. Four Gators finished with double-digit points, led by Walter Clayton (16), followed by Riley Kugel (12), Zyon Pullin (11) and Tyrese Samuel (10), respectively.
Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht led all scorers with 39 points, adding eight rebounds and an assist to his total stats.
