Florida basketball scored a much-needed win on the road on Saturday night against the Missouri Tigers, 79-67, to notch the team’s second victory of both the calendar year and the Southeastern Conference schedule. It was also the Gators’ first true road win this season and first away from the O’Connell Center since Dec. 19.
Todd Golden’s gang brought a well-balanced attack to Columbia, spreading the scoring wealth with five players in double-digits — and a sixth with eight — including team leader Tyrese Samuel who chipped in 17. Mizzou’s Tamar Bates led all scorers with 36 points and was just one of two players in double figures for the home squad.
