It took an overtime period but Florida basketball ultimately fell at the Alabama Crimson Tide on Wednesday night in an exciting heavy-weight bought between two hot Southeastern Conference teams.
The game saw a plethora of ties and lead changes, but the Gators had a four-point lead heading into the halftime locker room — thanks in large part to the Tide’s futility from beyond the arc. The second half was heavily contested until the 40-minute buzzer and the fight continued to the final shot of OT.
