Updated Heisman Trophy odds after Week One

Much like when we discussed the College Football Playoff national championship winner odds, not a lot has changed for the Heisman Trophy odds over at our favorite book, BetMGM. Caleb Williams, the quarterback from USC is still the heavy favorite and his destroying another opponent this past weekend did little to lessen the hype.

Jordan Travis, the quarterback from Florida State, is one of the biggest movers as he is now the second favorite to win the award after taking LSU down a notch. Sam Hartman, the quarterback from Notre Dame, also rose up to the fifth-highest odds after two impressive games to open up 2023.

The following are the current odds for the top ten players to win the Heisman Trophy available at BetMGM:

• Caleb Williams, USC +450
• Jordan Travis, Florida State +700
• Michael Penix Jr., Washington +850
• J.J. McCarthy, Michigan +1600
• Quinn Ewers, Texas +2000
• Sam Hartman, Notre Dame +2000
• Bo Nix, Oregon +2000
• Drew Allar, Penn State +2000
• Drake Maye, North Carolina +2500
• Joe Milton, Tennessee +2500
• Travis Hunter, Colorado +2500

As you can see above there are no current Ohio State players in the top ten, but Kyle McCord is just outside sitting at +5000 and Marvin Harrison Jr. is currently at +6600, with TreVeyon Henderson is a major longshot at +8000.
