There’s nobody that feels he’s got a second lease on life more than Ohio State head coach Ryan Day. He faced a ton of criticism after the Buckeyes squandered chances and bit the bullet late in the game against Michigan just over a week ago. Fans, media members, and players all left that game thinking that was it for all of the goals OSU had on the table.
Until it wasn’t.
USC losing to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship game put Ohio State back in the College Football Playoff as the No. 4 team and now there’s the ultimate goal of winning a national title right on the table. It’s been a dizzying week and shocking last 48 hours for all to come to grips with more highs and lows than a water park tide pool.
