Arsenal have been given the green light to try and finally seal a deal for Houssem Aouar – as Lyon have put him up for sale
Now we all know that Mikel Arteta will need to delve into that transfer kitty in the summer and start to sign players that will make a real difference to the side -especially as they missed out on Champions League football
And there has been alot of speculation about players that could potentially get signed, and there now seems a real chance that the club are able to sign a player that they have been after for a good amount of transfer windows.
Aouar’s contract at Lyon expires in June 2023 – but he shows no signs of penning an extension despite joining the club way back in 2009 aged 11, and the fact the 23-year-old Frenchman changed agents to IMC Stellar Sports at the beginning of this year further implies he will be packing his bags.
In 45 games this season, the midfielder has scored 8 goals and 4 assists, a decrease in his goal involvements since his 2019/20 season which notably saw an impressive Champions League campaign
Now – RMC have claimed that Lyon have put the player on the transfer market and will allow him to leave for the likes of Arsenal if they receive the right offer
If they do make a move, if they are able to get him for a bargain, and if they can get the best out of him, he would be a very special buy for the club
He would add a bit more quality to a midfield that has impressed for most of the season, but doesnt have too much depth to it.
