Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appears to have resolved the uncertainty surrounding Eddie Nketiah’s future when he suggests talks about a new contract.
The 21-year-old is dissatisfied at the Emirates Stadium due to a lack of playing time, and he is considering leaving when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Eddie Nketiah is regarded as a key member of the club’s future plans.
Nketiah needs more playing time, according to Arteta, but he wants him to stay and’really help the team.’
‘Eddie has six months left on his contract, and we’re talking to him and his agents to see what the best option is,’ Arteta said on Friday.

‘Eddie is aware of how much I admire him, how highly I regard him, and how much I want him to remain at the club.’
‘He is one of our players, someone we raised and who carries the Arsenal DNA in his veins.’
‘He genuinely loves the club, and his reason for leaving is that he wants to play more football.’
‘It’s nothing else; he wants more minutes because he believes he can contribute much more, and that’s why I like him.’
‘[It’s] very difficult, but I understand he’s at that stage in his career where he feels that way after a loan spell, after coming back and being in and out of the team,’ added the Spanish coach.
‘At the same time, I have a strong impression that he can be a valuable asset to the team.’
