Arteta ‘would love’ £50M signing – Arsenal told target will get sold ASAP – Signing admits ‘he will give everything’

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from football Audit that we think you guys may have missed today –

Transfer update – Arsenal have been told that Man City are keen to get Joao Cancelo sold this summer as soon as possible.

There will be Champions League football next season for Arsenal, and Mikel Arteta knows will be very happy with the transfer business that has already been done this summer.

However – that does not mean that the Spanish boss will not look to get one or two more transfer deals done over the next few weeks to send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Recent reports have claimed that ARSENAL are set to reignite their long-held interest in Joao Cancelo and bolstering the squad further.

Arteta and Cancelo worked together for a few months at Man City before the Spaniard left to take charge of Arsenal.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti is now reporting on Twitter that Manchester City want to offload Cancelo as soon as possible, and he has also claimed that Barcelona also want to sign the 29-year-old in the summer transfer window.

And if you believe the words of Reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be a very good addition to that Arsenal side.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

‘Man City now feel that ARSENAL will be serious title contenders for next season and will not want to sell anymore players to Mikel Arteta that they believe would improve the squad.

‘Cancelo is a brilliant star that would be a great signing for the Gunners and that is why Man City will not allow him to move to London unless it is for crazy money that the defender is no longer worth.

‘He would be a player that Arteta would love to add to the squad – and a man that would further improve that Gunners squad – Arsenal have spent £200 million this summer, and he could be the icing on top of the cake.’

HAVERTZ CLAIM MADE –

Kai Havertz has assured anxious Arsenal fans that he can handle his responsibilities in Mikel Arteta’s midfield.

The German international has hit the ground running following his surprise £65million summer switch from Chelsea, But many supporters are still questioning whether he has the physical power to replace Granit Xhaka in the side.

Havertz, 24, was used primarily as an attacking player either out wide or as a supporting striker during his four years at Chelsea, but he is known as a midfielder that has the ability to score goals.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

He has now he has come out and admitted that he is ready to fight for his place in that ARSENAL midfield: “I am really comfortable in this position. I am more on the ball and more integrated in the game.

“I am still adapting and I think I have a lot of room to improve but so far it’s working quite well.

“Obviously it’s a completely different style to how I played at Chelsea, but I think it’s a style that suits me very well.

“Of course it is going to take some time for me to get used to playing in midfield again, but I have only been here for two and a half weeks and I’m giving everything to try to perform at a high level.

“Everyone has to earn their place in the team and you do that by giving everything in every training session and every game.

“The team is amazing and it definitely feels like home already. They have made it easy for me to integrate into the team and it’s fun to be with them.”

WILL HAVERTZ BE A GOOD SIGNING?

The German has alot to prove over the next 12 months as he really struggled at Chelsea – but if Arsenal play him in his correct position – he could be a massive buy for the club.

Signing Havertz was a risk from ARSENAL – we are all interested to see how this plays out.

ARTETA WOULD LOVE RAPHINHA –

ARSENAL would certainly be interested in signing Barcelona winger Raphinha this summer if he became available.

Raphinha had been superb for Leeds, racking up 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 appearances for the Whites, and there alot of clubs that were very interested in trying to sign the Brazilian winger.

Barcelona ended up winning the race, striking a deal worth around £55million for the Arsenal transfer target, and it seems that the Gunners hopes of signing the man had faded into the distance.

However – there has been speculation in the media that Barcelona would be open to letting Raphinha depart the club this summer window in order to raise some funds and freshen up their squad.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that Arteta would love to bring Raphinha to the club this summer.

‘Rahinha is a player that Arteta has been keeping an eye on since his days with Leeds and those impressive performances in the Premier League

“Arteta would absolutely be interested in him if he was on the market, even though he already has a number of attackers in that squad.

“he would bring so much to the Arsenal side that Arteta may think it is foolish to turn down the chance to sign the Brazilian if he does come onto the market over the next couple of weeks.

‘I don’t think Barcelona are going to consider letting him go and I think he very much wants to stay at Barcelona. But I think it’d be an absolutely perfect signing for Arsenal.

WILL ARSENAL GET THE SIGN RAPHINHA AGAIN?

Look, the transfer window has been open up for a few weeks now and the new season is just around the corner – many feel that the big transfer business is done for Arsenal and Arteta, and they will just look to add some exciting talents to the squad.

Raphinha is a man that could make a difference at the Emirates – but he is also a player that the club do not need as they already have enough quality wingers.

ARSENAL may get the chance to sign Raphinha in the future – but this summer it will not happen and we would be shocked to see him leave Barcelona.
