Asian Games 2023: Indian Dressage Team wins historic gold

Xtra Time Web Desk: India has had a remarkably successful campaign on Day 3 at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The highlight of the day was the Indian Dressage Team winning a historic gold, the first time in 41 years. The team comprising of Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Hriday Chheda, and Anush Agarwalla, displayed exceptional skill and teamwork in the equestrian discipline of dressage, a significant achievement for India in the world of horse-riding sports.

Earlier in the day, Neha Thakur secured a silver medal in the Girl’s Dinghy – ILCA 4 category, showcasing her prowess in sailing. Eabad Ali added to India’s medal tally with a bronze in the men’s windsurfer RS:X category, displaying excellence in windsurfing.

The day’s action didn’t stop there. The Wushu stars, Surya Bhanu Partap Singh and Suraj Yadav, were set to compete in their respective quarter-finals, with the potential to secure at least bronze medals if they advanced to the semi-finals.

Furthermore, the Indian Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay Team made history by not only qualifying for the final but also setting a national record with a timing of 3:40.84 seconds, raising hopes for another medal in the swimming competition. India’s impressive performance on Super Tuesday has been a source of pride and excitement for the nation, demonstrating their prowess across a diverse range of sports at the Asian Games.
