Barcelona predicted lineup vs Real Valladolid

Barcelona will welcome Real Valladolid at the Nou Camp this Sunday evening as they look to secure a positive result in front of their home fans. The Catalan giants managed to secure a 4-1 win away at Real Sociedad earlier this month which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this clash.

Xavi will set his team up in a 3-2-4-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Gavi and Frenkie de Jong will function as the holding midfielders for the Catalan outfit this weekend.

3-2-4-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Valladolid

Defence

Marc-André ter Stegen will operate in goal for the Catalan club after conceding one goal against Sociedad in his last league appearance. Xavi could name a back three of Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia once again for this game.

All three Barca centre-backs need to defend their penalty box well if they are to earn a clean sheet at home this Sunday.

Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba will have to be content with a place on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Gavi and Frenkie de Jong will anchor the midfield for Barca as they focus on dominating the flow of the game at the centre of the park.

Ferran Torres and Pedri could function as the free-flowing, box-to-box midfielders for this game. Both of them need to move the ball well in the opponent’s half so that they can orchestrate some meaningful openings on the attacking end of the field.

Alejandro Balde might get another chance to impress on the left flank while Ousmane Dembele looks to stretch the Valladolid defence from the right.

Ansu Fati, Franck Kessie and Raphinha will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the match if required.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for Barcelona in the final third. The Polish striker scored a brace against Real Sociedad recently, so he will be full of confidence about putting in another influential display when he laces up to face off against the Valladolid defenders this weekend.

Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine as the second-half substitutes if the Catalan club are in need of a goal in the latter stages of the contest.
