Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor likely to play Sourav Ganguly in his bio-pic

Xtra Time Web Desk: Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor is likely to play the role of former India captain Sourav Ganguly in his bio-pic. After months of speculation, the producer of the bio-pic Luv Ranjan has managed to get the dates of Ranbir. The actor will be visiting Kolkata to meet Sourav personally and talk in more details.

The delay in getting Ranbir finalized for the role was the availability of his dates. According to sources in the knowhow of the production of the film, the script of the biopic is almost complete. The shooting schedules are being worked upon.

Sourav had earlier wished if anyone plays his role in bio-pic it will be between Ranbir Kapoor and Hrittik Roshan. As things stand now, it will be Ranbir who will be playing Dada on silver screen. The makers of the film are scouting around for other big stars to form the rest of the cast.

The biopic has been in the news for a couple of years when Ganguly tweeted, “Cricket has been my life, it gave confidence and ability to walk forward with my head held high, a journey to be cherished. Thrilled that Luv Films will produce a biopic on my journey and bring it to life for the big screen.”

The producers of the bio-pic currently are getting set for the release of their next film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’, also starring Kapoor.
