Click Next For Twitter ReactionsIn what noted championship ring collector Tom Brady calls “The Most Incredible Ring that’s ever been made,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken Super Bowl bling to a whole new level this summer. The ring, covered with diamonds totaling a symbolic number has a feature which makes the Super Bowl LV championship ring a thing to behold, a true trophy for the finger, as Tom Brady called it.

There are two things that every athlete hopes for in sports:
- That their contract is bigger than the last star player who signed at their position.
- That their championship ring is better than the ones the players were given the year before.
For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, their Super Bowl LV championship rings have a one-of-a kind feature befitting their first-of-its-kind feat the team pulled off last season to win their second title in franchise history.

First is the top of the ring, which features eight emerald-cut diamonds on each side to mark the franchise eight-game winning streak that led to their Super Bowl win. Next, on of the two Lombardi Trophies on the ring are laid nine diamonds, matching the number of points allowed against Kansas City in the Super Bowl, and overall, the ring has 319 diamonds to represent the final game’s score of 31-9. Follow that up with each player’s ring having their last name and jersey number on the side with the team’s mantra “One Team, One Cause,” along with a four-diamond image of the Lombardi Trophy, with the number of diamonds matching the number of division winners the team defeated as a Wild-Card team last year on their way to the championship. On the part of the ring that wraps around the finger are the words “Trust,” “Loyalty,” and “Respect.”

Where this ring takes things to the next level, however, is when you take off the top of the ring; that’s right, all those diamonds have a flip top that is removable and reveals something else. Inside the ring is a hand engraved image of Raymond James Stadium, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play their home games and became the first team to win the Super Bowl on their own home field. The word “Historic” is emblazoned on the underside of the ring’s top to mark the team’s achievement, and around the image of the stadium are the scores from the four postseason games the team won on its Super Bowl run. There is also one more diamond in an end zone where the team ran out of the tunnel for the game, the game that saw them become Super Bowl champions.
While the ring is about the size of a watch and looks huge sitting on a player’s finger, the level of details covered in this piece of jewelry is insanely remarkable. I would agree that the intent of giving out championship rings probably was never meant to reach this price range, the “Bling” factor on this ring already has it in the Hall of Fame of jewelry as well as all of sports trophies.
This is why Tom Brady called the ring “a trophy you wear on your finger,” because it tells a story, the story of the 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And while it is probably over the top in many ways, the memories it will bring back for every player who earned it, wears it and shows if off is important to them. So, who are we to deny them a chance to relive their achievement with a gaudy ring that only a few people in the world will ever get a chance to wear?
For this ring, I only have two words for the Super Bowl LVI Champions, TOP THIS!!!
