FIFA World Cup 2022: Messi spends time at gym ahead of Sunday’s final; Aguero makes a surprise appearance at Argentina training

Xtra Time Web Desk: Lionel Messi skipped the team’s training session at the Qatar University ground ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022 final against France on Sunday. The talisman preferred to spend time at the gym. In fact, none of the players who started in the semi-final against Croatia turned up for the training on Friday.

The Albiceleste completed a 15-minute open training for the media where those who were substitutes were the ones who jumped to the training field of the University of Qatar. Players like Julián Álvarez, De Paul, Otamendi or Paredes were seen on the pitch, although they were wearing sports shoes (not football boots). All of them were chatting and watching their teammates from one of the benches.

Former Argentina star Sergio Aguero made a surprise appearance at the training arena. Aguero was seen enjoying with the Argentine players at the dug-out. He will be at the stands of Lusail Iconic Stadium on Sunday to cheer for Albiceleste and Lionel Messi.
