Arsenal have reportedly identified Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum as a January transfer target.
Despite the fact that the Dutchman only left Liverpool on a free transfer in 2021, his first season in Paris hasn’t gone as planned.
The 31-year-old midfielder has been in and out of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting lineup, appearing in nine of his 21 UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 matches as a substitute.
At a time when the struggling Netherlands international is thought to be considering a move away, FourFourTwo reports that Arsenal are considering a loan bid for him.

Although Mikel Arteta’s side has plenty of options in that area, Mohamed Elneny and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are both expected to leave the Emirates this month.
Les Parisiens will only consider a short-term departure for the star if they are unable to part ways with other members of the roster before the end of January.
Newcastle United have reportedly made contact with Arsenal about a striker deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as the Magpies’ new owners prepare to splash the cash this month.
They want to sign the player on loan this month before potentially exercising a £20 million option to buy him in the summer.
