Xtra Time Web Desk: Star Indian badminton player PV Sindhu defeated China’s He Bingjiao 21- 13, 21-15 to win bronze in the women’s singles at Tokyo Olympics. No 6 seed Sindhu became the first Indian women player to win two medals (1 silver & 1 bronze) at the Olympics. She bagged silver at the Rio Olympics in 2012.
It was a dominating performance from Sindhu from the start winning the match in little over 50 minutes. She completely outplayed Bingjiao 21-13 in the first game. The Chinese shuttler did put up a fight but that was not enough for the champion Indian shuttler as she took the second game 21-15.
It was a heartbreak for the Indian fans as Sindhu lost her semi final match against Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying on Saturday. Sindhu lost in straight games to second seed Tai Tzu 18-21, 12-21 in 40 minutes.
