
Xtra Time Web Desk: Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu produced yet another brilliant performance to enter the semi finals of badminton women’s singles at Tokyo Olympics on Friday. Sindhu got the better of No 4 seed Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in straight games 21-13, 22-20.
Sindhu had a comfortable win in the first game. But Yamaguchi came back strongly in the second game, resorting to long rallies. The strategy worked for the Japanese shuttler as Sindhu was forced to make some unforced errors. But it was the experience and court play by the Hyderabadi that saw her win a tensed battle.
