Indian team discontent with arrangements by WICB in Dominica ahead of the first test? | WIvsIND

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team is discontent with the arrangements by the West Indies Cricket Board ahead of the first test match in Dominica which gets underway at the Windsor Park from Wednesday, July 12. The Indian players are staying at Intercontinental Hotel which is an hour’s drive from the Windsor Park stadium.

Sources confirm that the Indian team is not happy with the arrangements by WICB ahead of first test. They are made to travel almost one hour to reach the team hotel (Intercontinental Hotel) every day and it will continue during the test match. It means the players will hardly have time to recover after the days play and it could also impact performance in the Test match.

With the test match starting at 10 am local time (IST 7:30PM) , both the Indian and West Indies teams will have to leave the hotel for the ground as early as 7:30 am.

Whether it is too late to change the existing arrangements or can anything be done at the last minute remains to be seen.

With West Indies under pressure after the poor effort in the CWC qualifiers and India trying to make a comeback after the WTC debacle, the series, which otherwise would have been low key, has assumed serious significance.
