India’s tour of South Africa likely to be rescheduled : Report

Xtra Time Web Desk : India’s tour of South Africa is on as of now. But with the shortage of time and Team India’s packed schedule, the BCCI might have to be reschedule the upcoming series against South Africa in order to allow more time to the players before flying out to Johannesburg.

According to a few reports, the players are dissatisfied with the current schedule of Team India. And for that reason, the BCCI and the Cricket South Africa might sit together and reschedule the number of Test matches from three to two in order to give proper rest to the players.

With growing concerns over the newly found COVID variant Omicron, the players’ security is a matter of strict importance. However, the BCCI and the CSA are confident about a secure bio bubble that has been offered by the South African foreign ministry itself.

With the BCCI officials confident about the tour as of now, it will be interesting to see how the cricket boards of the two nations decide out the future of the tour in accordance to the situation.
