Lionel Messi to wear jersey No 30 at Paris Saint Germain

Xtra Time Web Desk: Argentine superstar Lionel Messi will be wearing jersey No 30 at his new club Paris Saint Germain. A small video taken on a drone was released by PSG which shows Messi entering Parc des Princes wearing the club jersey. The video was titled ‘a new diamond in Paris’. In the video Messi was seen striding across his new home pitch and decked out in PSG’s home kit.

Messi wore the same number when he made his debut at Barcelona. After more than two decades at Barcelona, Messi has signed a two year deal at PSG with the option for a third.

The latest images of the Messi show him at the balcony inside the stadium and also on the streets of Paris.

Hundreds of fans have gathered outside the luxurious Arc de Triumph hotel where Messi and his family will be staying.

Messi had been offered the No.10 shirt by his friend, Neymar, but he refused and one of the alternatives was the No.19, which he also wore in his youth.
