Xtra Time Web Desk: It will be a battle of goats on Thursday night at Riyadh’s King Fahd Stadium as Lionel Messi will be facing Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo will lead an All-Star XI against a Paris Saint Germain side with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr. The match will start at 10:30pm IST and will be streamed live on the You Tube channel of PSG.
This will be the first time the two superstars will meet since December 2020, when Juventus and Barcelona met in the Champions League. The highly anticipated match reportedly garnered over two million online ticket requests. An auction for a VIP ticket to the match has already surpassed 10 million riyals ($2.66 million).
The All Star XI will comprise of players from Al Nassr and Al Hilal with Ronaldo being named as the captain. The five-time Ballon D’Or winner chose to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on a two-and-a-half-year deal allegedly worth USD 200 million. It will also be Ronaldo’s debut game in Saudi Arabia.
Messi led PSG is currently touring Saudi Arabia. The French side has not yet revealed the final playing XI. The wait is just for a few hours as football fans across the globe will witness the two living legends in world football will go head-to-head.
